Joe Minton Style Swing Arm Brace Fabricated by
Hank Young of Young's Choppers
The idea is to build a swing arm brace like the one in Joe Mintons "Building a better twin" article.
This is the only info I have to go by.
OK, Hank asked to have the bike to do the swing arm brace.
Makes sense, doing it without the bike is a shot in the dark!
This is what he came up with.
This Swingarm looks the part, much like the one in the "Minton Mods".
It Has thin wall tubing. Gives much strength.
Installed
Much impressed, did not expect to feel a difference.
Noticed a difference rite away, like while turning out of my driveway!
Can't wait to do some real twistys!.
I will have two braced swingarms at the Barber Vintage Motorcycle Fest for sale, with bronze bushings.
